# Change agent settings by asking

> Ask the assistant to change how a creator's AI Chat agents work, then apply the changes you want.

Owners and managers can ask the assistant to change a creator's AI Chat agents, so you don't have to find each setting yourself. For example:

* "On @mia, the Learning Agent shouldn't ask about his job."
* "The Sales Agent pitches too early on @mia. Make it wait for more messages."
* "Set @mia's sleep hours to 1am until 9am."

## What the assistant can change

* The settings of the Learning, Conversation, Sales and Engagement Agents, tip rewards, and the Script Agent's price for paid steps.
* The AI Chat configuration every agent reads: persona, location, timezone, sleep hours, her day, and the spend at which fans are left to your team.

It cannot switch an agent on or off. It also can't pick vault folders, lists or media, edit scripts, or change how she types and the voice settings. Change those in **AI Chat** in the desktop app.

## Review and apply

The assistant reads the creator's current settings, then shows a card. Each row has the setting, its value now, the new value and the reason. All rows start ticked.

1. Untick any row you don't want.
2. Click **Apply**. Only the ticked rows change, and they're live straight away.
3. Click **No thanks** to change nothing.

Nothing changes until you click **Apply**, whatever the conversation's [access mode](https://docs.onlystack.com/assistant/access-modes.md). In **Read only**, the assistant can show the settings but can't suggest changes.

If a setting was changed somewhere else after the card appeared, it isn't applied. Ask again to see the latest value.

## Undo a change

Ask the assistant to undo it. You'll get a card for that too, and the old values come back when you approve it. A setting that has been changed again since is left as it is.
